The Enormous Turnip

“The Enormous Turnip” is the story for Aistear this fortnight. The story explores what happens when a farmer grows a turnip so huge that it becomes impossible for him to pull it out from the ground. The farmer needs to call on his friends and neighbours to help him. It is a lovely story with the importance of teamwork and unity at the centre of it. The children are really enjoying learing through play.
