Principal’s Message

Aughacasla National School
Aughacasla National School is a rural primary school situated 15 miles west of Tralee town on the picturesque Dingle Peninsula, nestled between the mountains and Tralee Bay. We are a co-educational school catering for children from junior infant to sixth class. We have four classroom teachers, two support teachers and two special needs assistants. Positioned on the R560 the school dates back to 1896 and in 2000 we moved into our present school building located behind the old school.

What we are about
Aughacasla National School offers a broad and balanced curriculum as well as many extra-curricular activities including football, athletics, soccer, gymnastics, concerts and outings. We are a ‘Green School’ which provides children opportunities to learn about the environment around them. We offer a caring atmosphere in which each child’s contribution is valued and in which each child’s needs are acknowledged and met.
Celebrating Our Sporting Stars
We are incredibly proud of some pupils in our school who have been achieving great success in a range of sports outside of school. Well done to all involved — we look forward to celebrating even more achievements in the months and years ahead!
