MY MEMORIES OF AUGHACASLA NATIONAL SCHOOL
My first day of school started off by us all making friends playing games ,and colouring . On the first day I also sat beside Eibhlinn and Mrs. Galvin was my first teacher in Aughacasla N.S, I also remember meeting my best friend Eibhlinn.
A few months after senior infants started we got a new teacher Miss O’ Shea and the teacher Mrs. Cleary retired.
I remember our first school tour at Kennedys Pet Farm. We held the puppies and fed the animals afterwards we ate on the bus and played in the playground.
First class was our first full year with Miss O Shea .I remember Zara and Colman started school.
Second class was our first year with our new teacher Mrs. Mc Crohan And I remember learning the famous poem ‘Cad and Céard’.
In third class we went on my favorite school tour we went bowling to Mahon point ,the water treatment plant, Mac Donalds and Cork jail.
In fourth class we started with John Moriarty but it was also his last year and I remember Kerrie started.
When I was in fifth class Mr. Doyle started in the school and it was also a very proud year for Aughacasla School as we got our green school flag. After the flag was raised we got ice cream .And that year we also got a new principal Mrs. Mc Crohan
We have done a lot in sixth class instead of a school play we went carol singing in Manor west shopping centre, Soldiers came and they gave us gave us a flag for the 1916 Easter rising commemoration and I read the fourth paragraph of the proclamation, We went for a walk along the beach. We went to a 1916 ceremony in at Banna Beach and we saw Michael D Higgins and there was a navy ship and a flyover.

Aughacasla N.S
A great school.
Unbelievable, great.
Great in every way.
Happy is what you feel in school.
And I will be sad when I have to go.
Cool and interesting.
A really nice school.
School is a safe place.
Laughter comes in school.
At Aughacasla N.S bullying is not encouraged.
None of the people in my class are mean.
School is cool.

My Memories in Aughacasla N.S
On my first day of school, I remember I coloured all day with my friends and I also remember my first school play, I was a solider for it.
My next memory was when Laurynas joined the school and our school tour to Kennedy’s pet farm.
Then moving on to 3rd class, we went to Cork to see a jail and a water treatment plant. Also in that year I was the main character in the school play.
In 4th class I was being thought by Mr. Moriarty who was great but unfortunately retired at the end of the year. Fortunately Mrs. McCrohan took his place and has been doing a good job teaching us since.
Last but not least I would like to thank Mrs. Galvin, Miss. O’Shea, Mr. Moriarty and Mrs. McCrohan for teaching us, Mr. Doyle for keeping us fit and everyone else involved in the school.

Aughacasla National School
I have always loved this school
It has always been so cool
Although ,when I was younger ,
I would run around like thunder
At the single sight of a rule

Aughacasla School is the best,
Usually we’ll never rest,
Grass all around the school,
Happy kids knowing the rules,
Always so much going on,
Cause the day is never long,
As our teachers are the best,
So no need to worry about any test
Lots of emails, a crest and now a website,
Always going forward our future is bright,
Never a dull moment at Aughacasla School,
So many of those days we will treasure!

Memories in Aughacasla N.S
My first memories in Aughacasla is my first day drawing and colouring. My first memory of a school tour is when we went to Kennedy’s pet farm. My first memory of a school play is when I was a shepherd in the manger in junior infants.
Also some of my memories in Aughacasla include when we went to the prison in Cork, when we went to the Wetlands and when we went to Waterford in the Spar 5 a side soccer tournament they are all happy memories and I hope I remember them in years to come.

Memories of Aughacasla N.S
My first memory of Aughacasla N.S was colouring in pictures and playing soccer and GAA football in the school yard.
I remember going to many school tours like Ocean World, the Wetlands Centre and the John Mitchell’s Complex. My favourite school tour was the John Mitchell’s Complex because we did lots of activities like zorb bal, obstacle courses and real life table soccer.
Some of my highlights of Aughacasla N.S was when two of the Kerry players brought the Sam Maguire to the school. I got to lift the Sam Maguire and get my jersey signed as well.
This year Aughacasla N.S participated in Spar small schools 5-a-side soccer in St. Brendan’s Park soccer pitch in Tralee. On the first day we won our group and I scored 8 goals. On the second day we came second in our group but we played the school that beat us and came first in the group in the final and we won 3-2. We then represented Kerry going to Waterford for the Munster finals. We won our group beating Cork and Clare but we lost in the semi-final to Tipperary. We came third in Munster.

My Memories Of Sixth Class
All of fifth class have great memories of sixth class but these are mine
They have been with us from the start and yes we all haven’t got along but we will miss ye ,well some of ye.
I remember the boys causing fights over the court caused a few ups and down but we still enjoy playing with ye just as much as annoying ye. The girls are great craic and they are people you can play with , trust and have a great sleepover with.
I wrote an acrostic poem with the letters :SIXTH CLASS
S illy things ye do
I nventing the craziest inside jokes
Xylophones of which we can not play
Teasing us all the time
Holding the bottle cup each year as ye trash everyone
Craic we do be having
Last year lets make it count
Always making us laugh
S upercrazy but superfriendly
S ixth class you’re the funniest people I know
Thanks Sixth Class

I remember my first day at school we were colouring , playing with toys and talking with my new classmates. And I remember meeting my best friend Abbie.
My first school tour that I remember was to Kennedys Pet Farm. I remember eating on the bus. And Hoover the goat eating the crumbs off the floor.
My favourite school tour was in third class. We went to Cork and the bus driver kept on getting lost. We went to a water treatment plant and we learned how to make a water purifier filter. We went to Mc Donalds afterwards. And I remember Abbie and I were lining up to get Mc flurry’s and we were next in line then Mrs. Mc Crohan called us back and we didn’t get Mc flurry’s. Then we went bowling. And we got back on the bus with the crazy driver.
MY BEST MEMORIES OF THE SCHOOL
When we were in first class we were in the classroom and I remember one day the mouse on interactive whiteboard started moving on its own and we were all scared. I remember when Miss o Shea would let us watch Iggy Iggy Arbuckle on wet days.
I want to thank all the teachers and staff who have helped me out these last 8 years.

Aughacasla is the place to be
It shall fall apart without me
It’s the bomb
Even better then Hong Kong
If you go there you’ll surely see

Aughlacasla NS is a lovely school
Understanding everything we are told
Going home and coming back the next day
Having fun with everyone
And playing outside on the grass
Chocolate cake for lunch on Friday
Always outside at lunch
Sometimes watching movies when it rains
Little kids are playing happily
Always learning every day
Nobody ever breaks lots of rules
So everyone enjoys their time here

On my first day of school I came in and I started crying.
I think the best school tour was when we went to Cork. We went to a water treatment plant and then to an old prison and after that we went to McDonalds. When we ate we went bowling. Then we went to Mahon Point and then we went back to school.
What I like about this school is my friends, breaks and no-homework. What I don’t like about this school is getting homework. My first school play was when we were soldiers and we were saying left right!

I am in 5th class in Aughacasla School,
the kids in my class are really cool,
the work can be tough,
we learn lots of stuff,
so we’ll all be ready for secondary school.
