Junior and Senior Infants did a cool science experiment on Friday. The children made butter out of cream! Firstly, we poured cold double cream into a jar and added a pinch of salt.We then secured the lid and begin shaking. Everyone had a go at shaking and after about 10 minutes a solid mass formed and the butter was done. It was cool to see the excess liquid that came off it which we learned was buttermilk. It was a very interesting experiment which surprised everyone (adults included).
