In Junior and Senior Infants our Learning Through Play this week is inspired by the story ‘Jonty Gentoo: The Adventures of a Penguin’ capturing the children’s curiosity and imagination.
Using Jonty as our theme it is encouraging cooperation, turn-taking and problem-solving while supporting social and emotional development. Creative activities such as art, drama and construction allows the children to express themselves and develop fine motor skills.
Overall, our Jonty the Gentoo penguin theme provided a fun, engaging and meaningful learning experience where children learned naturally through play, curiosity and imagination.
