There was a wonderful buzz of excitement in 1st Class today as 5th and 6th Class pupils came for paired a reading session this afternoon.
Paired reading is a fantastic way to build confidence and develop a love of books. 5th and 6th Class took on the role of reading mentors, guiding and encouraging the younger children as they explored new stories together. Reading with a “big buddy” made story time enjoyable and helped to boost confidence and enthusiasm.
Well done to 1st Class and 5th and 6th Class for making paired reading such a positive experience.
