Say Yes to Languages

This year we took part in Say Yes to Languages which introduces primary pupils to a new language. 3rd – 6th classes have been learning French for the past ten weeks which was kindly facilitated by teacher Ms Carol O’Brien from our neighbouring secondary school, Meán Scoil an Leith-Triúigh.

The children really enjoyed the fun, interactive and engaging classes which begins to set the foundations for an ongoing positive relationship with languages. Learning a new language not only enhances cognitive abilities but also promotes cultural diversity and opens doors to future academic and professional prospects.
