6th Class went into Junior Infants today to do some shared reading. Shared reading is an effective way for the older children to demonstrate reading to the younger children. Shared reading is designed to be interactive and spark conversation about a text. Shared reading helps to build a community of readers and allows the older children to be role models and have a positive influence on the younger children while also fostering their love of reading.
