The staff and children held a ceremony on Thursday to mark Mrs Galvin’s retirement. It was a wonderful occasion filled with music, song, fond memories and much laughter. The hall was decorated beautifully with artwork from sixth class. It was great to see so many families, past pupils and teachers, neighbours and friends there to celebrate with us. Our thanks to our Parents’ Association and BOM who contributed to the day. After the mass, the children enjoyed some cake and the adults had tea and plenty of time to chat, reminisce and wish Mrs Galvin well.
We will all miss Mrs Galvin immensely. Her professionalism and dedication to the teaching profession was second to none and she really is a credit to our profession and an example to all of us.
Míle Buíochas agus Slán go Fóill Mrs Galvin
