Last week was Engineers week and 5th & 6th Class really embraced it.

Earlier on in the week they did some tower building! The challenge was to make the tallest tower using straws which had to have balance. It wasn’t as easy as it sounds….

The children worked on different engineering projects at home throughout the week. On Friday, they each brought in their project and presented them to the class. They built and modified boats, planes, rockets and bridges. The finished products looked great. Well done everyone.

The children also investigated the various ways of making paper airplanes and the most effective designs.

The VEX Robotic Team put the finishing touches to their robot and are looking forward to the VEX Competition this Friday.

Overall it was a very eventful, fun week that everyone enjoyed. Big thanks to Ms O’Sullivan and Ms Hennessy who put in such hard work preparing for this week and getting the children ready for the VEX competition.
