As you may or may not be aware a new piece of important legislation by the government called the Children First Act has come into effect. The act deals with the extremely important issue of Child Protection. As part of this legislation schools are required to draw up a new policy called a Child Safeguarding Statement. This new policy places new rules and procedures on school staff and to help the school staff to implement these procedures correctly we are required to undertake training. Our training day is taking place on Tuesday the 20th of March. To enable staff to attend this training the school will be closed for the whole day on the 20th of March. Your understanding on this matter is greatly appreciated.
