We would just like to say a huge thank you to each and every family who contributed to the Bon Secours Community Initiative Sudan Appeal. We were so impressed by the fantastic response.
A team of volunteer clinical and support staff will travel from the Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee to Sudan for one week during Christmas 2017. This group is directed by Dr. Kamal Abdalla, Consultant Cardiologist.
Their aim is to offer practical clinical support to their peers in a rural Sudanese Hospital that cares for a substantial area and population in the face of extremely limited resources and funds.
During their visit to Sudan they also intend to reach out into the local community by offering practical support and assistance to some local schools. The schools in this area of Sudan are very poorly equipped and have little or no materials for the children. It is these practical items such as paper pencils etc that they hope the children of Aughacasla N.S. will be able to help with.
Aughacasla N.S. feel that this is a great opportunity to support a local group doing great work and we thank you all for your support.
