ACTIVE WEEK is in full swing in Aughacasla National School. We started the week off with our school tour in Active Kingdom where did lots of different activities like team building exercises, orienteering, bouncy castles, super slides and obstacle courses.
Tuesday saw us practising our dancefloor skills with a dance day while some of the seniors travelled to Gallarus for the Father Curtain Cup. We ended Tuesday with a ‘Macarena’ flash mob lead by Mrs Heasman and Miss Williams.
Today we had great fun down the beach with Lucy Hunt. We searched the rock pools and learned lots about our local environment. Mr Doyle and Miss O’Shea ended it with a soccer blitz for 1st – 4th Class.
Active week continues tomorrow with a football blitz in Castle for 3rd – 6th class. Miss O’Shea’s class are taking another trip to the beach to do lots more fun activities.
We will finish Active Week on Friday with our sports day and a visit from athletics coach Mary O’Connor.
We are starting to wish it could be Active Week every week!!
