It was an extremely blustery day back in Gallarus today as the annual girls and boys West Kerry 7-a-side football blitz took place.
The boys put on brave performances but lost to Dingle and Ballyferriter/Ceann Trá. Their final game saw them take on their neighbours Annascaul but unfortunately it ended in a narrow defeat.
The girls put on three inspirational displays. They beat Dingle and Annascaul. The girls narrowly missed out (by a point) on a place in the final against Ballyferriter/Ceann Trá.
The teams were managed by Mr Doyle and Miss Williams. All the boys and girls made a great effort and did the school very proud. Well done everyone. A special thanks to Tomás Ó Muircheartaigh for organising the event.
